Question 1

What servers does Hamdek.sh support?

Accepted Answer

Fresh Ubuntu or Debian VPS with SSH access. Root or a sudo user works. Password or SSH key authentication is supported.

Question 2

Do I need a developer to install Odoo?

Accepted Answer

No. Hamdek.sh keeps the installation cost away: connect SSH, link GitHub, pick Community or Enterprise, and the platform installs Docker, nginx, PostgreSQL, SSL, and Odoo for you. No DevOps hire and no developer is required for a standard production install.

Question 3

Is the platform free?

Accepted Answer

Yes — Free tier forever for getting started (1 project, production, CI/CD, SSL). Solo ($12), Studio ($29), and Agency ($99) add staging, backups, seats, and volume. WolfPack is Studio and Agency. During early access, approved accounts get full Studio features until billing launches. You always pay your VPS provider separately.

Question 4

Do I need Odoo Enterprise?

Accepted Answer

No. Hamdek.sh supports Odoo Community and Odoo Enterprise. Community is first-class — no Enterprise license required. For Enterprise, provide your Odoo subscription code during project setup (you can also upgrade a Community project later).

Question 5

Which Odoo versions are supported?

Accepted Answer

Odoo 16 and above — Community and Enterprise — at provisioning time. Each branch can run a different version so you can test upgrades on staging.

Question 6

What is WolfPack?

Accepted Answer

On Studio and Agency, a chat on the project page can query that project’s Odoo database (read-only), inspect logs, and commit GitHub code after you confirm. API keys are stored on the project. You bring your own Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or OpenRouter key. Free and Solo do not include the agent.

Question 7

What is Connect (SSO)?

Accepted Answer

Connect signs you into that environment’s Odoo from the dashboard — single sign-on, no separate Odoo password. Developers and admins can also use Connect as… to open Odoo as any internal user, which is useful for debugging permissions, reproducing a client’s view, or support.

Question 8

Can I migrate from Odoo.sh?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Export your database (and filestore if needed), import via the project dashboard, connect your GitHub repo, and update DNS.

Question 9

Where is my data stored?

Accepted Answer

On your server. Hamdek.sh stores project metadata, encrypted SSH credentials, and backup records — not your Odoo business data.

Question 10

Do you charge per Odoo user?

Accepted Answer

No. Platform plans are flat. Seats live in Odoo and your Enterprise contract (if any), not in Hamdek.sh billing.

Question 11

Who pays when I invite a teammate?

Accepted Answer

The project owner’s plan. Collaborators inherit features from that subscription — they don’t need their own paid plan to work on your projects.

Question 12

Is subscription per project or per account?

Accepted Answer

Paid plans are numbered subscriptions (for example WH-2026-000001) owned by the project owner. Each project attaches to one number. You can own more than one number. Collaborators use the owner’s subscription — they do not need their own paid plan.

Question 13

Do you support GitLab or Bitbucket?

Accepted Answer

Currently GitHub for CI/CD and OAuth sign-in. Additional Git providers are on the roadmap.

Question 14

How do backups work?

Accepted Answer

Manual and scheduled pg_dump backups on the server, optional upload to SSH / Google Drive / OneDrive, configurable retention for auto backups. Free tier does not include backups — Solo and above do.

Question 15

Can I run multiple projects on one VPS?

Accepted Answer

Yes — limited by server capacity. Each project gets an isolated Docker stack.

Question 16

Is there shell / root access?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You own the VPS. Browser shell (Solo+) uses your stored SSH credentials; you can also SSH normally anytime.

Question 17

Is Hamdek.sh like Cloudpepper or OEC.sh?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hamdek.sh is managed Odoo hosting for Community and Enterprise on a VPS you own — custom modules, GitHub deploys, staging, backups, and SSH. Cloudpepper and OEC.sh sit in that same category. Hamdek.sh connects over SSH and installs Docker, nginx, SSL, and Odoo so you do not hire a developer for a standard production stack. Odoo.sh is different: it runs on Odoo’s cloud and requires Enterprise.

Question 18

How is this different from Odoo.sh?

Accepted Answer

Similar Git → deploy → staging → backup workflow; your cloud, your DNS, Community-friendly, no per-user platform fee. Odoo.sh offers a more turnkey managed experience with less server responsibility.

Question 19

Who is behind Hamdek.sh?

Accepted Answer

HAMDEK — Odoo implementers building production tooling. Contact info@hamdek.odoo.com.
